    The Cobalt™ Skull Cap or "Skully" is the first hard shell skull cap made just for umpires and designed in collaboration with MLB & MiLB.

    Aimed against bat backswings and to add an additional layer of force reduction, the helmet is like a coach's helmet but with enhanced shape, padding and features for baseball and softball umpires.

    The shortened bill functions just like an umpire plate/combo (4-stitch) cap. It will fit under all brand or style umpire mask and not just All-Star masks.

    FEATURES

    • Shortened bill fits with plenty of space in any umpire mask
    • Tough and durable polycarbonate shell
    • Textured sand matte finish to grip traditional harness (no harness upgrade needed)
    • Augmented padding in key zones along sides, rear, and top for added protection against bats
    • Removable padding system is machine washable
